Detroit, MI… The Michigan Wolverines defeated the Michigan Tech Huskies 1-0 in a double overtime thriller Saturday night at Joe Louis Arena to win the 43rd Annual Great Lakes Invitational. This is Michigan’s 12th GLI Championship in school history, with its last title win in 1996.

 

The No. 1 Wolverines beat the Providence College Friars 6-0 Friday evening to advance to the Championship Game, joined by the Michigan Tech Huskies, who won over the Michigan State Spartans 4-1. The Friars defeated No. 5 Michigan State 5-3 in the Third Place Game.

College Hockey at “The Joe” Tickets On Sale Now
College Hockey at “The Joe” continues when interstate rivals Michigan and Michigan State face off on Saturday, February 23. The 2007-08 season of College Hockey at “The Joe” action concludes March 21-22 at the CCHA Championship.

 

Tickets for all College Hockey at “The Joe” events are priced at $30, $24, $22, $15 and $10 and are available at the Joe Louis Arena Box Office and all Ticketmaster retail locations, including Hockeytown Cafe in Detroit and Hockeytown Authentics in Troy.
