Prior to Ohio State: Spent two years at Northwood School in Lake Placid, N.Y., playing for the junior team ... served as team captain in 2006-07, posting 34 goals, 31 assists and 65 points in 41 games ... won Coaches Award and Tim Hyde Award - Athletic Award Graduate in 2007 ... had 61 points in 2005-06, with 28 goals and 33 assists in 49 outings ... played at Gilmour Academy Prep in 2004-05, recording 65 points, including 29 goals and 36 helpers ... won Northwood Tournament in 2006-07 and St. Andrews and Midwest tournaments in 2005-06 ...MVP of 2007 Northwood tourney ... led his team in scoring each of the last three years ... named to All-Star Team for the Bulldog tournament in 2005 and of the Northwood Tournament in 2006 ... graduated from Northwood School in May 2007 ... member of league champion soccer team in 2005-06 and also played golf ... coached by Mark Morris and Jeff Matthews at Northwood.

Off the Ice: Son of Mitch and Wendy ... 20 years old ... father played collegiate hockey  at St. Thomas University ... has older twin siblings Tyler and Ashley, both students at St. Thomas ... favorite things to do are lift weights and hang out with friends ... in the school of education and human ecology ... would like to work in the hockey industry.
